Piano Black Radio/Dash Trim

Has anyone re-done their radio/dash trim in a Gloss or Piano black? I think it would look really good. If you have, post it up!! If not, someone rock a photoshop of it!

yea i did, the paint is gloss but because of the white specks in it makes it look more flat. it looks a little more glossy in person but it looks really good.

I think the high gloss/piano black would look good. I have been thinking about doing the same with my car. I have the black on black, so it should flow real nice and add to the murdered out look. I have a black touch screen head unit coming in the mail too, so it would match.

Not mine, but I would love to have mine done like this. I would have to do the steering wheel trim and window switch bezels too.

^^^That is exactly what I am going for. Anyone know what type of paint and materials were used? Can just your regular gloss black with clearcoat achieve that finish?

Yes!!!!! That's exaclty what I'm looking for. Any more pics or info(thread)? If I did it, I'd also be doing the steering wheel trim like you said.

i would just use paint that says it adheres to plastic. id suggest you take a fine grit sand paper and scuff it up before painting but any paint and clear coat that say it will stick to plastic will work. well thats wat im doin. ill let ya know lol

when I did mine I just used regular old black plastic paint...and I forgot what clear I used. When I cleared it I did two light coats and one heavy one to the point where the piece looks almost milky...I'll post my pics later.
