Gloss Black Radio/Dash Trim
I just did mine in my 09 White 2LT, I lightly sanded all the pieces and then used Krylon Fusion High Gloss Plastic spray paint, and then Krylon Clear Coat.. It looks really nice, but I think I am going to re-do them in the summer once it gets warmer out because I messed up a few of the pieces... but over all it looks REALLY nice. - I also did my door handle surrounds.
I'll take a few pics later if you'd like.

I don't know about you but I don't spend much time touching my dash trim. I don't think it would be that bad. If nothing else keep either an eye glass cleaning kit cloth in your car, or wipe it down with a microfiber that you used to take wax off a car. That works wonders on taking fingerprints and spots off of glossy paint and chrome.
I don't have any at the moment, but I can try to either find some I may have or take some new ones, it's been snowing like crazy here though so idk if I'll be able to get it out of the garage, that camaro in front of it does not go well at all in my driveway with snow lol
the only part on mine that occasionally gets finger prints is the parts on the steering wheel...the other parts rarely get touched so they don't get finger prints
I'm curious about that too... I had talked to someone on here before that said he masked and painted, I've also heard of websites to get them from, which is what I'm leaning toward lol
vinyl would be a good idea though, getting it flat with no bubbles would be the hard part lol...

I'm "himming and hawing" about doing this...
I would think its just like nightshading tail lights isnt it?
1-prime
2-black
3-clear coat
then the all important
4-Wet sand till all smoothed out and Use a high cut rubbing/polishing compund to get a stupid high gloss look, thats what I did to my tail lights and a desk I varnished and there both REALLY shiny and perfect.

I think the wet sanding is the most important part. I primed it a couple times...sanded. Primed again. Sanded. Put like 3 layers of black on...sanded. Couple more then sanded again. Cleared it 2 twice really light. Then the 3rd coat was heavy. I was surprised how nice it came out. Its like glass...
I'll be doing this come summer time / spring...
too cold we got about 2-3 feet of snow this weekend.
I'll be looking at totalled balts for the pieces so I don't screw mine up... then I'll do the swap and put mine in storage...
I'm also looking at a new head unit but that won't be for another year (Onstar and XM subscriptions...)... luckily I got the 2010 black head unit and not the silver one... WOOT!

This in deep red, or blue, or orange, or WHATEVER would look absolutely gorgeous.
There is an easy technique to it. I've always wanted to try. I helped my cousin paint it on his 95 Neon. Looked great. I think I'll do it on mine. Anyone?
Sry just thinking outload but didn't the ltz model have woodgrain pieces...
