Well today i was on the phone with 3 different gm operators and 1 salemen where i got my car and it looks like they are going to be putting the high mounted spoiler on my car. According to the salesmen's part book the SS supercharged is still coming stock with the highmounted and the laser blue ss supercharged i got has the low mounted. So they are gonna do some more "research" as so why mine came with alow mounted but he said " if need be we will get it , get it painted and put it on there. So ille be waiting on a call tomorow to see if this is actually true. oh well wish me luck guys.

 

The low is some sweet to man, but I got the high... just a little more of a attnetion getter

well the car came with the high wing, i traded for the low wing and now i have no wing... I'd tell the dealer to take of the low spoiler and fill the holes.

 

the highmount spoiler is std, but you can get the decklid spoiler as an option on the car. when i get my cobalt i will get one with the optional decklid

 

anyone have luck with the dealer and get them to swap it? i mean i have had my car a month and i didnt even get to see a pic of it b4 it was actually ready to be picked up .

 

yeah i special ordered mine, but somehow the stupid low one came on it, i was pissed so they installed the high one for me looks better IMO

 

awesome- according to a salesmen at the dealership he says it sh ould have been high but he's gotta talk to the guy that actually sold me mine witch will be around tomorow, i just hope this guys isnt a tool and says he wont swap it ide be pissed lol! will be posting asap tomorow with what i hear,

feels like im being a pain in the ass to the dealer but everyone says i should do it so i dunno just hate bein that guy oh well i hope this gets resolved! lol

 

do you have your window sticker, if so look under options, if a spoiler is listed there it means that ur low one was a option from the factory. if theres no spoiler option in the option section, than its supposed to have the high. look over on the standard features side and if it says "rear areo spoiler" ur supposed to have the stock ss.sc spoiler

im takin a guess and STD means standard right?= standard spoiler which is on my car - as you see in the pic.
therefor i do believe im entitled to a rear high mounted spoiler! lol i dunno thanks for all the help tho guys,

 

i hate to be a buzz kill but no, the std spoiler in ur case would be the high, so whoever ordered ur car, ordered it with the low spoiler on it.... it was an option

 

No the std spoiler is the high mounted one. The high mounted spoiler is standard on all ss/sc models. so when it says Rear spoiler (replaces STD spoiler) it means that the rear spoiler that is on your car replaced the standard (high mounted spoiler) that comes with the car.

well dealership was supposed to get ahold of me today at noon time and still i have heard nothing from them, not the best customer service but oh well im gonna wait it on and mabey they are workin on it or puttin me on the bottom of the list lol. lets see if they get back to me tomorow

Why not just trade your high mount with some kid trying to pimp out his LS? You'd have to get it painted, but whatever.
I thnk the low mount looks better, imo..

Wingless does look really friggen clean from most angles, but sometimes it bugs me. I've been wingless since summer, and I'm not totally happy with it. I'll be putting on a RKSport 3 peice in a couple of months. Also going to get my trunk lock and antenna shaved while I'm at it

 

High profile is stock low is the special order wing just read the window sticker!
Says in options and pricing (Replaces STD Spoiler) the dealer obviously had the option to order them from the factory with the lo profile.
I had to order mine thru parts and they painted and installed the high wing for me 2 weeks after purchase.
Most of the SSC had the low profiles on the lot i bought mine from at least 10 low profiles and maybe 4 high profiles. all the high profile wing were to expensive!obviously they had more than just the wing in difference!

 

07 ss s/c came with the low mounted spoiler
