im gonna be doing this on my ss/tc tomorrow but have a question.....i removed the lower grille so now you can see the SILVER intercooler....should i paint that black as well so it will blend?? or should i leave it??

 

I'm definitely not gonna tell you to do that. That's really up to you. I don't think it's gonna look good tho. Just get the tc grille or try with the stock grille

Did you sand(obviously) and prime aswell? That would look really good on the Evo extractor style hood color matched.

 

Mine are the gen2 chrome

Try the tape first with the grille and see how it looks. I know alot of ss/sc guys like showing off the h/e. LOL

I love that hood. A member here was selling it but it didn't have the rain guard or else I wouldve snach it. Plus it had a chip by the vents

Yeah, it deff looks better afterwards. I'm thinking about doing my front like OP today, but I'm scared of messing it up.

Oh, I've had my share of practice. It's just the fact anything can always happen and a bumper is expensive to get repainted.

I had to repaint the black on my bumper here. you can see the marks below the begining of the O and B where I just tuched up the paint. Below the spots had holes (two in total..license plate bracket screws...) anyways I filled them in with body filler and repainted the whole section flat black again. You can notice them up close but from a distance it's fine.The section turned out even with no spots or anything.
