Oh i didnt mean the grill or the bar, that SHOULD be flat black. I was talking about the post above my last one.

if any onenis thinking of doing this and isn't sure how it would look on their Balt, try putting black electrical tape in the same way it would look with paint. That's what I did and was convinced it looked good

i still think you did an excellent job masking it off. Looks great man. I think someone needs to make a front bumper that has an audievoX style grill. Would look great with the body lines of the car.

my next project, is to cut out that crossbar completely, and retrofit a whole grille that looks like the ones you have, but fills the whole area. Would take some serious epoxy and sanding, but i think if i take my time the finished product would be worth it.

Maybe down the road pick up a front bumper off a rear ended wreck, and have a body shop depress the middle of the bumper to kind of flow the upper and lower grilles together, and maybe paint that section flat black as well. We'll see. I also like the sedan rear tail-lights better, so i am going to do a G5 rear end swap, and put the RK sport rear valence on it. dual exhaust FTW

Ho close in shape are the Cobalt Sedan tails and the G5 ones?

because if i bought cobalt rear tails, and they fit on the G5 bumper, i could get rid of the reverse lights that are integrated into the bumper, which i don't like. hmm...

why dont you get the g5 bumper ond cover the reverse light by a shop then you can purchase the g5 tails and keep your reverse tails that are on the bumper. would kinda look like them old lexus wihich i cant the name of or you can get the tails like i have and not use the reverse light that come with it. you wont be able to see the empty space if you night shade them. what do you think?

go ahead man. what color car you got. would like to see it in a different color. maybe i started a trend

i would like to go for car of the month someday. but i need cc08 for really good shots.
My car is yellow, I was only planning on doing the bottom but that grill piece looks really good too. Are you happy with the flat black or do you wish you went glossy?

i don't think the cobalt coupe trunks work with the G5 tails/bumper. I prefer the look of a clean trunk with no logos, lock or lights.

I was also thinking of attaching white LED strips to the inner outside edges of the trunk itself, and wiring them to the reverse light harness. That whay, there are no visible reverse lights, but when you put the car into revers,e there is a white glow visible in the crack between the trunk and the tail lights themselves.

Well what if a company manufactured a bumper like the evo or gtr style. Would you get it? It would be a hell of a diference than what's produced now. All aftermarket bumper look a bit the same to me. Something like this would be different and attractive
