I run HID's with stock reflectors.... they can be bright.... but just aim them down and there really is no issue. and personally........ i hate projectors..... i think they are more blinding than my reflectors..... my buddy has an ss/sc with projectors and i cant stand when he drives behind me.. so annoying..... but to each is own i guess

He probably needs to move the cut-off line down. Mine are set so they dont bother other people when I'm driving on a level road, but if I hit hills people get blinded, isnt really a way around that one.

 the light doesn't bounce off the housing. It reflects off the .......OMG! The reflector.

A housing us just that, a housing. No other purpose.

every member that puts HID's in their stock lights always say the same ****, "nawww dawg, i had my boi drive mah car while i drove hiz and didn't see any glare y0!"

truth is, you DO blind the **** out of everyone. i can see glare and hot spots on the out of focus pics you posted. surprised you didn't burn out your sensor from your camera when you took those pics.

I saw 2 cars last night with HID in their stock housing and they weren't blinding at all. So how is the glare in from the cobalt different from other cars?

listen you just want to avoid the possibility of causing an accident. some may notget blinded but others might. it just shouldnt be done with reflectors. hence why people get tickets. does nobody understand that!

I want to get HID but I keep hearing how cheaply made aftermarket projectors are. I hear there are tons of problems, that might not be the case but that's whats getting to my ears. I like the quality of my stock headlights so yes a retrofit would be nice but I don't have the technical skills to make them.

Wasn't trying to start a **** storm I just pointed out an observation I have made when people put HID's in their stock housings. The housing or "REFLECTORS" ,if you prefer, aren't designed to handle the higher light output created by the HID's and this causes them to no longer be aimed properly as now they have more light then they were ever designed to handle. The headlight no longer able to handle the higher light output is now not aimed properly and causes a horrible glare for on coming traffic regardless of what you guys try to say here or to tell yourselves. I can tell you for a FACT that this is the reason many law enforcment agencies go out of their way to pull over cars with them retroed into the factory housings.

You're being able to see "better" by throwing more light randomly down the road as opposed to focusing the light thru a projector may be fine for you but other drivers are cussing at you. Trust me.
