Got my HID kit from 3B Specialties today!!!

8000K lights, and 8000K fogs...Bada Bling!!

I do have one question though, the 3rd picture down I believe is the 9007 harness that plugs into the stock harness, I think they only shipped me one though because I only have one blue connect (4th picture). Am I wrong.....does anybody have any experience with this company or installing these?

Thats awesome man. I need to get my H.I.D. fogs now.

And you should be fine connecting them. I mean, it did come with two wirings and two ballasts right?

if you only got one of those blue connects, you need to get one more to hook into the other headlight.

oh and if you need help on how to install check out the how-to. .

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-hid-installation-92078/

gives you the perfect place to place the ballasts for the headlights. don't know so much about the fog lights though.

My lancer had one blue connectore, and worked fine. But my cobalt has two. Thats why im confused here.
I would just ask 3B, and ask them about their product.

i ordered it on Monday and got it today, which would of been Tues when I posted this.

I think I only use one harness from the car, the relay is there to send power to the other side of the car for the other HID, so one stock 9007 harness is left out. I could be wrong

yep, your kit uses a relay therefore its only using the 9007 connector to send a signal to the relay to get power from the power source. one 9007 plug is all you need

well you seem knowledgeable, I can use either stock harness correct? Also, how could I mount the Ballasts and relay, screws or double sided tape, any suggestions?

i always use 3M double sided tape to mount them just for the fact that i can remove whatever i mounted and not leave any holes lying around. the ballasts for the headlights fit underneath the black bracket for the headlight, 3 or 4 bolts to loosen and you can move the bracket to put the ballast under and stick it down with 3M tape. for the fogs i mounted my ballasts on the inside of the bumper cover right underneath the grille with double sided tape. also wrap your relay in electrical tape before you put it in the car. they are not 100% waterproof

thanks for the info..

I work till 11 2marrow night but I have off the next two days afterwords so i may start this project 2marrow night. I'm gonna do the fogs first.

Did you have to jack the front of the car up to get to the fog lights?

Biggest problem with hid's in stock housings is that THEY WON'T CHANGE THE BEAM PATTERN.
No bulb will, you are still dealing with a compromise headlight design. You will get more light output but it will still be aimed in the same place. The 9007 type headlights have got to be the worst excuse for vehicle lighting since the Model T was Fords best seller.

Want better light on the road? Aftermarket projectors or bi-xenon retrofit.

sick enjoy your hids! I wish I would not of been such a ***** and went with the 8k because I was afraid it would be too blue for cops but see people with 8k in stock and they don't get pulled over so I would of been fine! Don't get me wrong 6k owns all but 8k looks so much sexier.

The bulb type hardly makes any difference in the light beam pattern, it's the design of the reflector that does it.

Exactly. Never going to get really good light with the stock reflectors / 9007 setup.
Now, if there was a way to run an h4 type bulb....might be a different story but I am not about to attempt that kind of mod unless I know it would be an improvement.

Had h4 Hellas in my 69 Pontiac (55w low, 100w high) with 100w h1's for high beams, those things rocked! Never had to flash anyone twice
