I didnt know if i should put this under performance, appearance, or general, but i got a muffler off of ebay and put it on 2day. it looks great and sounds awsome. i drove all over the place cuz i couldnt get enough of it. I should have pics some time this coming week along with my other small mods (shouldve ben a month ago but i just got settled in down here in florida).

its a racing medallion? i've never heard of it b4, but 4 $40 im not complaining I wuz gna try 2 get the pics on 2day but my friend that has the camera took off 4 the holiday weekend, so i'll post them as soon as i can.

oh yea, set off a car alarm yesterday. I have the base model 5 speed and its still pretty quick. I take off in 1st at around 2 grand (normal) and can hit 2nd rite at the rev limiter and it brakes loose. I've only tried it a few times cuz i dnt like abusing the car. I just hit 3100 miles on it. I havent raced it, but im up 4 a challenge any chance i get just 2 c what the car will do. hope 2 have pics soon.

 

40$?! Good buy! I've heard of racing medallion exhaust systems before. Do you plan on doing a full cat back later on or are you just sticking with the muffler?

I'd be leary of that. I bought a $60 Mac muffler once for my Cavalier. It was great for about a year or two. By the end of two years, it had all but rusted out and had holes in it. It obviously wasn't stainless steel. Usually, real cheap muffles are cheap for a reason. It did work great while it did work though. At the time I didn't care if it wouldn't last because I figured I could afford to buy another for the money I was saving. Then when it actually came down to having to get all the old rusted pieces off/unstuck and do all the work.. I decided it would have been smarter to get a good one up front!
