Grill insert options

Where can I get an aftermarket grill? I like the billet ones, but I think mesh would look better.

just swap it out and put on the G5 GT grill..lol, try cobalt addiction, mrgrille or just make one yourself, using mesh from your local hardware store

The mesh grills have to be made yourself, I haven't seen anyone sell them. Otherwise, listen to g5mike.

Looks like I get to test my fabrication skills, has anyone on here made the mesh ones before?

Well, I'd say lots of people have mesh grills in their cars, and that's the side I'm leaning for right now. I think they look awesome in the car.

Try the How To's section, there's a pretty nice How To on making your own grilles.

I personally will wait until summer break to start working on my grilles, since I'll need to take out the bumpers and all, and I just don't wanna wake up on a monday morning and get to school with half my bumper falling off. I'll definitely take the time to do it right, though, adding a little spot for some small running lamps in the mid. I'll probably paint "COBALT" in front of mine, like one of the guys in the boards has. I think it looks freaking awesome.

Get the mesh in there before you take a stone to the condensor or some other road debris,
The mesh is only like $20 .00 ,Alot cheaper than a condenser!

with the aftermarket grilles do you still pretty much just cut out he slates to install them? I would assume so because i see no other way to do it with the way the grille actually hold the bumper on.

I made my mesh grills, what did you want to know exactly? Its not too difficult, but time consuming.

I have a 2.4, so I don't have to worry about a condenser.
