halo lights and eye lids
halo lights and eye lids
hey its been awhile since ive been on the site...just been super busy i guess. anyhow, i was wondering where a good place would be to buy halo projector headlights and some vinyl eyelids. thanks for the help.
for the vinyl eyelids just get some and put it on the headlight just make sure you use masking tape for an outline so you don't cut the lens. it takes quite a bit of work to get the vinyl to stretch and go smooth.
Heat gun works best to form it, and when I had my stockers on I painted mine on, I made a How To a while back ago. And I got my 1st gens from eBay.
did the painted eyelids get damaged from rocks or anything? cuz im not very nimble and i doubt vinyl work is for me so id prob paint them....
I only did 2 coats so if I did more that would have helped. Here's my How To:

I have a small chip, but you can buy some paint pen and quickly fix that, just apply a crap load of acrylic.

Well they all have problems hands down, 1st gens with the halo leds and screen peeling, 2nd gens with peeling also I believe, and 3rd gens with the screens discoloring due to heat.
2nd gens are you best bet but the 1st gens with the top LEDs look the meanest.
And as for the acrylic I have been told it's a lot harder than just standard clear coat.
