Damn, eBay for the win lol. I guess it has only been a month but I have had no problems and my lights have seen rain, wind, rain, heat, rain, more heat and they are still kicking. I get some condensation at the top but its because there is a small air hole and also the leds are up there and they create a small opening. I love them though, and its nice to have high beams and an HID kit

My halos have been on for a year and now my driver's side low beam bulb is out. I haven't really had problems with them besides this. Oh, 1 of my LEDs wouldn't work in the passanger side light but one day it came on and has been on ever since. haha

When i said you have to watch the wattage of the bulb, i meant it for ALL head lights. The Halos use the stock head light harness. You will risk melting that harness if you use a higher wattage bulb than factory. I just want you to know that so you dont **** up.

I read directly on my Halo headlight housing that it was NOT meant for HID headlights. I dont understand why because ive heard that HID run cooler than their counterpart. So i would guess to say no. But they make your lights have this cool pink.purple appearance from an angle.

Ahhh gotcha man. Yeah to be honest I probably wouldn't have thought of it. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd say from now on, anyone that buys aftermarket headlights should get the clear bra crap put on them....then they can't flake, or get chipped/scratched.

I had an e-bay pair of halo's on my old eclipse that were pretty sick. They may have been better quality cus I they looked like new when I sold the car. I did however wax the lenses and that may have helped.

Both of mine are flaking, and the passenger side high beam is melting the plastic.

The only reason they are not "HID compliant" is because you have to drill/cut a small hole above the regular bulb hole for the return line on the HID bulb.

No that definately wouldnt work . My friend's Black Halo's are doing the exact same thing . I work in the Plastics industry , to me it looks like the plastic lens is delaminating from heat < which is uncorrectable once the damage is done . I will about garantee the peeling effect on the lens is caused by the DRL . As on his headlights its only starting to do that around where the top parking light is . All OEM cars that run DRL's use a specific grade of polycarbonate lexan that can handle the higher heat created by the DRL being on all the time . The stuff is expensive . These headlights are probably not using the correct lens material to handle the heat of the DRL .

The best thing you could probably do is see if your stock clear lenses will mount to the aftermarket lights . And guys that dont have the damage yet .....1) dont run your amber DRL in the 05-06 cars oor 2) replace the 3157 incandesent bulb with the LED 3157 so the light it cool and not hot . The LED route presents its own problems though , because youd have to run a load limiter to get the turn signal to blink right and they get hot as hell . With the DRL always being on during the day , that load limiter would be hot all the time .

You guys having condensation problems . Do not use silicone . It will not fully bond to the OEM adhesive on the stock or aftermarket lights . Urethane adhesive sealant is used for sealing up headlights , silicone wont stick to it , therefore moisture eventually will find its way thru the weak spots in bond between the housing and the lens .

Hope that helps some of u guys out .
