Chevy Cobalt Headlight Pair - AM Autoparts

I'm wondering what the quality is like. Is the lens stock quality?
I'm just stripping them for the lenses and amber reflectors so that's all I care about.

 

What do they mean "Except SS Models"

Yeah but they charge 50% more for SS lol. Exactly the same light.

Incorrect. All 05-07 had the lenses. 08+ do not.

 

Almost exactly - the SS had (very slightly) tinted lenses, not sure if that changed over the years.

Quite right on the amber covers on the turn signal / park light - they lost the covers when the drl's went to the low beams instead of the turn signal / park light for the 08 and up models.

They fit the same, mount the same, and the wiring is the same.

Why more $$$ for the SS? Guess they figure because it's for an "SS" they can charge a premium

Still have them. Retro'ed RX330s into them. I need to take them apart and fix some things though. You can have them after I fix them but they'd cost a bit more than the $80 I bought them for lol.
And yes. I put TLs in my stock set. They're done but I don't have any pics because our computer is broken and I cant upload with the iPad.


Correction...retrofittED. They're done except for replacing the reflectors of course. It's killing me not having the ability to post pics. Feels good to be the first Cobalt with TLs. Smartdude has them in his personal set on his G5 but afaik there are no Cobalts.

 

what about CARiD.com? anyone ever have any problems with that site?

Edit...after looking on auto trader it seems 50/50 for 07s. Maybe they switched halfway through???

 

could be. only 07 i ever looked at to buy didn't have the lenses.
