I don't know about finding the exact same fabric but you could probably find something similar at a craft store or fabric store. Best places around me are Jo-Ann Fabric or Michaels. Crafts 2000 might have something but not sure. You can technically use any kind of material you want. I know someone did theirs in carbon fiber

i painted my door panels a couple weeks ago...

i toyed with the idea of painting the lower half black instead of the top but i figured it would be too much, especially since the rest of the car is that light gray crap...for now anyway

btw, i also used the krylon fusion satin black. it looks great

i wish i had a camera to post pics of mine, i like the they they came out, but i left the armrest the neutral color cuz i didnt have any fabric to use, but im going to buy some CF cloth to cover the armrest, seeing how i already have a CF shift boot and CF knob, along w/a CF e-brake handle and CF ebrake handle boot, also gunna use the CF vinyl to cover the sorounding part of the cruise controls on the steering wheel, not the button but the sorrounding part, same thing goes for the side mirror covers, ima cover them in CF vihl, and the black part on the door, the part that looks like a pillar from the outside, seperating the front door from the rear window, ima cover that in CF, i hope it all looks good in the end, or thats gunna be $$ wasted on CF

I wrapped my door insert with suede and it wore down from my arm being rested on it. I'm going to re-do it with Alacantara so it will hold up this time.

has anybody acutally ripped the dash up and painted it? I'm talking about the dash-dash......the one underneath the windshield....mine is a shitty color brown and I'm wondering if I should just carpet it or paint it.

I was thinking about painting the dash but instead of just painting over the old dash creating a new one by smoothing it over and then painting it. But you can't use fiberglass to do this and simply by just sanding the dash down would take away some support structure and take a lot of time.
You can paint the dash, its made of the same material thats on the door panels.
