have a question

everytime i wax my car when im done its got these lines in the paint that you can only see when the light hits it just right and it bugs the crap out of me. i hate seeing them like other then that the car looks great. so today i put some polish on it and let it sit then i take it off and there back. whats makeing it do this it bugs me so much. the stuff i use is maguires polish #5 maguires wax and i take it off with a terry towel. what am i doing rong? i never saw this on the sunfire.

It is you aren't taking all the wax film off! I get that too... but I have use a Microfiber towel to get the residue off!

is it like really light scratches? Almost like a swirl mark but in a straight line?

yea kinda but it only can be seen when the light hits it and it drives me crazy

try using a microfiber towel to finish taking the residue off, that works on mine and it is black

ok ill try that. i have to wax it today yesterday i poished it and today im waxing it and geting all the road crap off the side skirts then its only out on nice days only and then after the first snow storm in the garage it does. ill go to the store and buy the microfiber towel today and see how that does

It sounds to me like its a slightly marred surface from seomthing like a cat walking on it or a peice of dirt stucck in the sponge or towel while washing/drying.

Try and use some swirl remover and if that doesn't work, some fine scratch remover.

This happens alot on all my cars and it basically comes down to me lightly compounding and buffing the entire car once a year.
