having a problem hellllp!!!!!!!!!!

am painting my door panels but i cant remove the window lever i have maual windows and it seems to be stuck can somebody help me?

they pull right out. there is a special tool thats made to take them off but in reality they just pull right out

No go to auto zone and ask for the window handle removal tool and just use that...trust me you wont get it off otherwise.

there's a horseshoe clip on the back....have to take that clip off and then the handle should slide right off.

take an old sock, lip it under the door handle, and then slide the sock backand fowardth the crack clip comes off and the crank comes out lol u laugh but it workes

Believe it or not, I read a very similar technique (shop rag, not a sock) in a GM technical publication. I use it on venture van sliding doors all the time.

gotta use a clothe in the venture/montana van slide doors cause a normal clip tool scratches the panel the way door panel is made. learned that the hard way.

FYI the clips should be (and are supposed to be) installed with the open end towards the roller, so hold the roller, slide the tool under handle that direction and it will push ithe clip off and the handle with pop off, ps they have a real tendency to fly across the shop
