Headlight Bracket Covers, Finished & Installed with Updated Pics 56K OK
Updated 56k OK
After some road testing at about 90 mph
, opening & closing the hood 100 times, I even put velcro on the cover with the sticky side up & closed the hood, then opened it & the velcro was still laying on the cover <<< did this about 15 times .... So I think all rubbing issues have been work out. They were touching just enough that you could see it in the satin black finish but it wasn't scratching thru the paint, it was just marking it! Depending on your hood & the way every thing is aligned, 1/4 turn adjust may be needed to the hood studs. My car the Hood close's hard so I readjusted my hood latch & everything works great!
If you are interested in these give me a pm, I'm trying to get these massed produced!
Now here is a before pic![/B]

This is the way they were, done & Installed
Now I am painting them like below!

I was playing around & wanted to see what they looked like with a checker flag & brushed aluminum... I think For now I'm going to keep them like this for the upcoming shows, The last 2 shows the judges overlooked them as being stock.....Now they wont
!
They still need to be clearcoated & wet sand ...but I like it, Woohoo for $5.00 dollar customizing!
Marked out & painted!

Masking removed!

Here you can see the brushed aluminum a little better!

They are not shinny black like the last picture I just did that for the photos & to see what it look like. **** in the last 2 days I've sanded them back to metal 3 times
Because maybe it came with my HP Tuners!
I just made the 1st set, I didn't even plan on making more than 1, but I have spoken to a vendor that is ready to make them if the demand is there!

TY & They are not like that, They are satin like the top picture. I only did that so they would stand out in the picture. I will be having them custom painted to match my car soon.
Nice, unique mod!
However, I think they looked MUCH better satin black. They matched the other engine plastic 100% better before you painted them gloss black.
oooh, n/m then!

Ty I can't believe I waited 2 years to do this....duh doudle Duh..., guys this weekend at the show I will get shots of them in SATIN BLACK ...once I'm setup in the sun! Then I need to call my painter to have him Airbrush them!
The actually painting can be anything like trimmed edges in polished aluminum color match the rest, black satin w/gloss edges or polished edges it's endless & trust me when I am finished with them they will be 1 of a kind!In the other thread I had going we decided that satin look better also, but for showing the detail of fitment the gloss works much better.
Ty
