ANY aftermarket bulb has GOT to be brighter than stock. Nokya arctic whites are definitely better, luminics white. PIAA bulbs are awesome but pricey. The stock bulbs are borderline non-functional.

Ive heard Nokyas can melt harnesses...

The downside to aftermarket bulbs is they burn out much quicker than oem

HIDs are low priced if you get them from BuyHIDs.com or DDMTuning.com

In the end hids are gonna cost about as much as aftermarket halogens after you burn out 1 or 2 sets trying to find a good pair.

im gonna prepare to be flamed for this, but I actually can't stand HID's. They are too bright for me, especially when they dont have the auto-turn feature, which angles the light during a turn.

My reasons for this are that the HID's provide TOO much contrast at night between the unlit area and the lit, it makes it hard for me to see the exit of the turn when im on my approach/tapping the apex. It just doesnt let my peripheral vision (which is much sharper than your forward sight) see in the dark. You all will think im crazy but I find halogens work much better at keeping my peripheral sharp in the unlit areas. there IS a reason all the GT-2 cars use halogens

instead of just plugging in a bulb...you plug in a ballast then the bulb into the ballast

I get xenons from ebay. 10000k 80/100watt. they're like 13 bucks a pair. I do have to change the bastards like every 4 months though. They're pretty bright compared to stock.
