I got blue bulbs for my turning signal but they look white when they are on and never been stop for blue LEDS but they do pull you over for dark tint
allso got 6000k HIDs but since I live in a wealthy area 90% of the cars around here are lexus, benz,BMW and Bentleys (very popular here) so HIDs are very common where I live never been pulled over for blueish HIDs ether, all depends on the cops where you live.
just a side note: the hids on the new lexus and BWM blow my HIDs out of the water :/ they look so so much brighter so they stand out more then mine.

Hey man Im over here in Brandon, FL. I have a buddy who runs a website that sells HID If you are interested, I can even help put them in for you.

No you dont. Projectors just project the light to where you can have a better angle with the light. And it angles down the light to the road instead of having it in people's eyes. You can get H.I.D.'s in stock housings, but the stocks reflect the light in all directions. Causing cops to pull you over and people flashing their lights at you.

Talk to Flash13Brandon about the HID's. If you don't know what the hell your doing:
1.) Buy a set of projector style headlights.
2.) PM/Talk to 'Flash13Brandon' about HID's.

well, i did some research on projector headlights. i don't like any that i saw. all of them seem to be like the headlight style as liljone. they all have the two blub setup look. is one for low and the other for high?? they look cheap eventhough they cost $200. i feel like going to the junkyard and making my own projecter set. then again, i have an 08 cobalt. all the ones i'd find in a junkyard would be older models.
for now, i just want BULBS that project a blue light. i know it looks white on the road but people see blue. flash13brandon, what prices we looking at for an HID kit? pm me plz . thanks
and thanks everyone for the input.

Suit your self man. Some projectors look like crap, but they're some good quality ones out there.
I dont know about 08's, but its one bulb "setup". The high beam is towards the inside near the grill on my car.

I bought mine from MP. But the only bad thing about these projectors is that most of them come from the Chinese. So some of them are made cheaply. The only reason why I say projectors, are only if you get H.I.D's or RETRO FIT.

yeah, i know. if i get HIDs then i will get projectors.
i see your point to that. and you see my point being in relation to cheap parts. i have been down that road and i know i won't be happy with cheap stuff

Just get Sylvania Silverstars...they don't last as long as yellowish bulbs because they run a higher "k or Kelvin" so they look white which is nice, i'm not a big fan of the dual projector look either...they need to make a single projector model.

Well in the future, if you do decide to get H.I.D's read this. It really helps to get some knowledge.

Correct if im wrong, please do. But I didnt know non H.I.D. bulbs ran on the Kelvin scale. I thought they ran on Lumens.

Higher Kelvin numbers will be more blue, lower numbers will be more red.
The lumen is a measure of light output, has nothing to do with colour temperature.
However, as a general rule of thumb....given the same type of light source (incandescent, HID, flourescent, whatever) and the same power rating (wattage), the higher Kelvin number will have a lower light output.
HID's can get away with higher Kelvin numbers because they are far more efficient. They convert more of the input energy into light and less into heat in comparison to incandescent (halogen / old school sealed beams).
The blue tinted halogen bulbs are kinda crap in my opinion, they give you less useful light in exchange for the bluish colour. If you never drive on dark roads at night and are just after a certain "look", this likely will not matter to you.
And HID's in stock reflectors???? Please, don't even consider it. Not only is the light pattern (and glare) going to be absolute ****.....what are you going to do for high beams on a car like ours?
