Headlight Decision...

okay, so heres my dilema, i tinted my headlights and made eyelids for them, i thiink it looks fine and everything and the vision at nite isnt THAT bad.. but my GF also drives my car and she doesnt like it , so she made a deal with me that we're going to go half and half on a new set of aftermarket headlights so it can still have a custom look but she can see at nite... and i dont know which set i want, i've narrowed it down to 2...

heres my car ...

heres headlight option 1

heres headlight option 2

Number 2 will not light anything up at night with a black reflector. Go with your first option.

well option one will be worse without HIDs, and option 2 paint your own lights and trade lenses with someone.

I have the 3Gen projectors ans the light output is pretty good and Im running the halogens still, so HIDs should be better. But I also like the all black stock housings, except a black reflector wouldn't imagine thered be alot of light output with that. But how about instead of buying new lights just re-do the black on yours lighter, you'd save some $ and you'd retain the custom look you want.

i think your signature pic just persuaded me to go with the projectors, they look awsome... :] and i'm not exactly sure how the tinted reflector would work well enough to make it worth buying

I'd say go with black gen 2. Don't like the way the 3 rd gen halos are lined up. One higher than the other

Number 2 reflector is smoked. Like the market lights

I found a good deal on the Projector set and it comes with an JDM HID kit and i can choose between 6k, 8k, 10k, and 12k... i'll probably order the headlights this week, but the last time i baught a HID kit, it didnt work.. so i want to know if JDM is a good brand b4 i spend that kinda money, Thanks!!

JDM isn't a brand, it stands for Japanese Domestic Market. But with HIDs, I'd go with 6K - they're about bright white and give you more light than the other options. Oh and go with your first option - the halo projectors.

I say drop the gf and do what you like lol. I vote for number 2, but you can paint stock ones yourself. Ohh and one other question. What did you use to black out your headlights like that?

^^^ I used that to paint my housing units blue a few years ago, I didn't scrape the glue on the second one and it worked so much better.
