it shouldn't if you get the real HIDs, but anything can happen when you go to a higher voltage bulb in a stock headlight.. try a high temp clear coat on the inside on the housing. not makin any promises, but it definitly wouldnt hurt

yeah, i re-used the stock sealant as well. but also added a tight bead of silicone sealant just to be sure

ya I did the same thing, just wish I hadn't scraped the glue from the first one, it never sealed properly.
