headlight housings??

headlight housings??

hey i just got 8k fog light hids and headlights 8k i was just wondering if they would melt the housing of the headlights?? and if so are there ne housings out there that would not melt??

I've had my 8K HID headlights for a couple months now and no issues, you should be fine. I think the melted housings have been an issue with the projectors headlights, but the stockers will be fine.

I would have to say, no they will not melt. Alot of people on here have been saying that HIDS burn at lower temps than halogens, if that is true then you're all good.

Correct, HID's run lower temperatures than stock halogen bulbs.

Whoever started the rumor that HIDs melt your housing probably started other famous rumors such as:

"The 2.4L Auto tranny cant handle over 200hp" and "06 Civic Si's with 220hp are capable of 12s!"......*sigh* God+1
