It is a government tracking device. Hurry up and wrap it in tinfoil.

I would go to the dealer you bought it from and ask them.

That looks totally strange... that box is wired into your stock blinker wires... dunno why. Maybe that's where you add the blinker fluid

I say you crack open that box and see what's inside of it and post a pic

I think it has to do something with the temp reading, it didnt go above 60 today until the temp droped below 65 then it reads normal. Im really confused now

I looks like a part to aftermarket fog lights, so they go on with the parking lights maybe. If someone had the car before you they probably just left this in.

yup, it is using splices so it's probably not factory. and u said ur lights work fine without it... do they blink any faster without it? if not then it's not any sort of resistor... just take it off and leave it off... and if it doesnt affect anything then crack it open and post a pic.

I honestly can't see it having to do with temp reading... I mean it's a secluded box attached to the wires that cause your turn signal bulb to blink... so it should only get intermittent power when the driver signal is on...

It's definetly aftermarket. The Manufacture doesn't use T-taps for any connections. It's connected to the turn signal and ground on that headlight. If your lights work fine, and the turn signal blinks normal. You could remove it without any problems.

Exactly!! Since whoever installed it used the turn signal wire for power. It will only get power when the signal blinks!!

If I worked for GM, I would stick random boxes that do nothing onto peoples cars all the time, this way they would start posts about it wondering what they are.
You should open the box, there might be a little note that says something along the lines of... Fooled you. Lol.
