Help with evo mod?

So far I've got the eyelids, pin-striping, and front bow-tie done. Next step is the Evo Mod and Reverse Evo Mod. I've never done either and have a hard time justifying rattle-bombing my new car, but i'm going to go for it.

So my question is.. what paint/steps did you use?

I figured i would tape it off nicely, sand with P600 sandpaper, paint a few coats with a decent quality Gloss Black Paint, Put a few coats of Spray Can Clear Coat over that, and let it dry.

Flaws/ideas/suggestions? Thanks guys. I want to do the reverse tonight, and then maybe the front this weekend.

Look into Plasti-Dip. That's what I used. It's a rubberized spray coating that can be peeled off if you end up not liking it.

Yes i have heard of it being used but i wasn't too sure about it. Do you like it? Does it look good done? And since it can be peeled off, is it still durable? Seems like it might peel on its own or chip easily.

It looks good when done and is more durable than you think. It's made for the handles of tools..lol. I pressure wash mine at least once a week and have had it done for a little over a month, it hasnt chipped at all.
