Help with Front End Rebuild!

Long story short: I was involved in a small front end collision in my '08 LT "Special Edition". I'm getting ready to get into fixing it but I have a few questions because I'm wanting to do an upgrade to the SS/SC bumpers/skirts/ground effects lips.

Aside from the obvious (bumper covers, sideskirts and grills), what will I need for a clean, factory-like install on both the front AND rear? (part numbers and description would be greatly appreciated)

EDIT:By "small collision" I mean a hole in my front bumper and a slightly bent-up core support.

I've been to GMpartsdirect and I've looked at their illustrations; I just can't figure out what I need from the illustration and what I don't need. I know I'll need the bumper cover and lip extension for the SS/SC look, but what else?

P.S. My mother-in-law is able to get GM factory parts for cheap-cheap since she works at a dealer. Just need a part number or name.

What exactly are you replacing? Everything that bolts onto the collison bar behind the bumper? Are you replacing the grill?

You won't need the actual fascia unless you have an LS/LT. If you have the 2.4L it will clip right up to the stock SS/NA (2.4) bumper.

As far as I know, all of the cobalt share the same body lines. From the illustration you will need:

16,17,18, 24 (Supercharged has the horizontal lower deflector grill, Turbocharged has the Diamond Lattice Pattern)

All in all about $250 plus shipping if you are just wanting the lower lip. The whole fascia will be about 300 + hardware (If you don't use your stock clips/nuts/bolts)

So all I'll need is the bumper cover itself, the lower lip, the grills and mounting hardware?

yeah and the fender liners if you dont want a gap, but they are not needed. Everything else just bolts up the exact same.

Thanks alot for the help so far guys!

Aside from my stock mounting hardware from the LT bumper, what other hardware do I need and how many? I'm getting part numbers together for my parts woman.

you reuse all the same stuff heres what you need

front bumper
front lip
clips for the lips i think its like 12 or 14 i cant remember
push fastners x4
grill upper/lower
side skirts
clips for skirts like 10 for each side i think
fender liners optional
you can reuse your rear bumper
rear fender liners optional
rear lip
clips again like 12 or 14 i cant remember
push fastners i think 4

i dont have the part numbers but when they pull up the parts list for both bumpers you can see all of the stuff you need in the pictures
