what do you consider major mods? just use your keyless entry to find your car. it's not that hard. don't your lights flash when you lock and unlock your car?

No offense to Yikes12345, but this thread is just asking for dumb remarks. It's too vague of a question to ask I think.

I understood what she's saying. Basically: she wants something that's simple yet makes her car stand out. Not talking finding it in a parking lot, talking more along the lines of something that doesn't look exactly like every other Cobalt out there.

So the suggestions of tint, rims, etc were kinda moving in the right direction. Other than that, there's not a whole lot of purely cosmetic additions you can make to a car except *shudder* vinyl. I HAVE seen people have minor airbrush work done that doesn't look bad, but that's a personal preference and you BETTER be sure you're going to like it...kind of like a tattoo for your car.

I saw the advertisement for it. Might stop by the next time. I would for sure be a beginner at it, but I learn fast and I'm usually flippin good at everything I compete in! Thanks for the info!

Oh, and I don't mind the looking too, as long as its the right looking and dude is a looker himself!

Haven't really had your problem here in Iowa Yikes. I've only seen 2 other cobalts outside of the dealerships.

I would say get customized license plates for a cheap way to stand out. If you want something more expensive maybe look into neon or a different spoiler.

The moral of the story is gender should never be discussed on Internet Message Boards.

I have another suggestion how about you put on an exhaust tip since the stock cars have a bare pipe. Unless you have a SS/SC then you have a bare pipe thats flared at the end.

or you could do clear corner light when they actually come out.

There is also cobalt black out sticker that go over the 3rd brake light on ebay all the time.

Or how about Jonel hooks you up with a FLY cobaltss.net sticker

Thanks guys, thanks alleycat - you got exactly what I was saying. I'm not talking about being able to find it in the parking lot (I'm usually intelligent enough to remember where I parked anyhow), I'm talking about being able to pass one of my friends on the road and have them know it was me and not one of the 3 other orange cobalt owners in my immediate area. I don't live in a "town" of any kind (honest to God, the official population of the "town" I live in is 300-ish), but I'm already seeing tons of cobalts around. Lord only knows how many others there will be JUST like mine when I get back to school next month - so I want a little something, just enough to make my car a little more personalized (that sounds dumb, sorry), I just want it to be a little more "me" - make me a lil more easily recognized.

you could even change the colour of your mirror covers to something else eg. black

I'm thinking of changeing mine to Yellow when I start accenting the car

Save some money and have Eibach lowering springs installed to get rid of that ridiculous fenderwell space Cobalts come with. It maybe be slighty more major than slapping some vynel on your car, but it'll change the apperance more than anything else besides new wheels.

I have the Answer

I can recommend a few things.....I personnaly like the painted headlights. The color match and the black housing look great depending on color and with your burnt orange both would look good. Inexpensive $40 per headlight, plus high temp paint, and a good sealant and you can get great looking results by yourself. Check out all the headlight discussions in the appearance forums. I put on Alleycats grill on my silver SS. I just painted it black. Window tint is always a good purchase. Keeps cars alot cooler inside and reduces sun damage. I am also considering moving my badges. I dislike their current placement, just something everybody on here could do and I doubt there would be two alike.
