help with seats

I got some nice black and blue suede racing seats for xmas and today I wanted to go and install them in the car. I decided it was a good idea to start with passenger side so if something goes wrong, I wont have to drive to the nearest garage sitting on a 24pack of beer... good thing I did cuz i'm screwed :P

I took off the seat, taking off the bolts in the back and then pulling the clip out from the front and all that went really good. Now where i'm stuck is that I have to take off the brackets from the original rails and put them on the new seats' rails to be able to clip them in and so they fit the hole in the floor but I can't take em off... they're holding there by something I can't unscrew or anything and I don't know how to take those off.

rear bracket;

are those rivets?

(back side of above picture)

front hook that clips in the car's floor;

anyone have any idea how to take these off?

I ran into the same issue when I was installing my seats. I used a drill bit and drilled through the center of the part your talking about. Doing this will make that part fall apart and you can then get the brackets off. All that part is is a giant rivet basically

Still trying to figure that out. All I have installed so far is my drivers side seat. My Cobalt isn't me daily driver, so I just work on it when I have time
