help with wax
help with wax
so i thought it would be fun to go out and wax my car the sunday seeing how it keeps getting odd scratches here and there. well, the wax cleared up most of the scratches...woohoo! but i was a bit sloppy with it. i was in a hurry to get it done because it was getting dark so when i went to leave for work monday morning i noticed some wax in some of the cracks around the windows, along the sides of the roof, and again along the strips on the doors. anyone have any tips on how to remove it? i did manage to get some of it after work today but the rest is really in there good and it's semi-noticeable
any tips will be appreciated, thanks!

# 1 rule is patience, and don't get it where you don't want it. that being said, i don't have much patience
so i use an old toothbrush to get into where i can't get a rag. NEVER get it on the plastic trim pieces, because you will never get it off. good luck!
i work at a detail shop, you need some type of exterior dressing go to your local parts store or where ever you get your cleaning products and look for somthing like that, i use a product called blue ice
thats a really good idea to.. you also can buy this stuff called back to black its for black plastics.. it works well
from the few things i've tried, the black will never go back to black. maybe there is a way out there, but i don't know it. i used a few things that covered up the wax, but you would have to keep putting it on every so often.
When I got some wax on my trim and mirrors, i decided to try the stuff I had originally purchased to use on my tires: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-730-8.html
It worked so well that I used it on all the rubber and black plastic I could find on the car.
