HID Ballast/bulb compatibility question Question

This is a stupid question I'm sure. I have an HID ballast, it's a 55W ballast and the kit I got it with (was free) had 9007 bulbs in it. However I'm not putting those in my stock housing because it will glare and look stupid. Some I wondering if I just got some nice H1 bulbs for my projectors can I still use those ballast or do I need a specific ballast?

Thanks in advance to the HID gurus because I'm not much on the electrical side of things.

Yes you can use the same HID kit with your projectors...

Stock: 9007

Projectors:

Gen1: H1
Gen2: H7
Gen3: H1

HID Fogs: H11

So you can run a 9007 kit of a H1 ballast? (Just trying to clarify)

You can use any HID bulb with a 35w ballast. You can only use 55w HID bulbs with 55w ballasts.

Bulb (9007, H1, etc) type makes no difference.

The ballast are universal. The bulbs are universal.

It's just that if you want to change a temp (color), you have to buy a different bulb of course.
