HID Bulb replacement question

I had a set of McCullough HIDs in my cobalt for about 2 years. One bulb blew out. I was going to order another set of bulbs and have an extra for backup but my friend had a set of bulbs that werent McCulloughs for sale which I plan on buying once the cash becomes available ( poor right now ) but my question is will they fit? theyre 9007 which is what I had in my cobalt but theyre a different company. Any help is appreciated, thanks

9007 is a universal bulb size. Just like any other bulb size.

Lol, let the man breath liljone.

He was just asking cuz the light out put is worse than you having them in projectors or retro fits. IMO, I would save up to buy some black projector housings. They look tight on cobalts.

I dunno, i like them and i dont at the same time. I like my black housing oem ones they look nice during the day, not ricey, but not that plain chrome crap. the projectors are on the fence for me. Now if i could afford retroed oem ones id be all over it!

True, maybe. I thought all 9007 ballast have the same connectors for the ballasts.

Yeah, the connectors to the ballasts could be different, but you can always cut the connectors off and sauder, or what i did was cut the connector off the old bulb and sauder it in place of the connector on the new bulb. Are you sure the bulb is bad? Have you swapped ballasts to check to make sure the ballast isnt bad?

I have projectors I'll sell you for $80...Just projectors you would need to do a retrofit to make em work...
