HID color question

i know people are sick of reading about hid crap but i have projectors and im not impressed with the lighting the h1's put out so i want to upgrade to hid's.. i want a blue color but not real blue so i was gonna go for either an 8 or 10k kit.. now i know the 8k will have more lumens but how much blue is it going to show compared to the 10k?

the reason i said that, is he said he isnt happy with the light output of his current setup.
and he already stated he is interested in color, but doesnt want to lose lumens
6k is white with a slight blue tint.
8k is a brilliant blue.
10k is blue/purple.

I have all of the above.
I much prefer 6k.
with 10k.....the color is sexy, but as far as night time driving on the 627 for work? they are slightly better than a good halogen at best
4300 is max brightness. the higher you go from there...the less light you get.

haha ive got 14k and their so purple but i love em and with the projectors their good...

from wut ive seen,

8K is pure white
10k is white/blue (light blue)
12K is dark blue (looks like most nissans)
14k is pure purple

i have 14, i put 10 on my buddies car and have seen an 8 and 12 installed.....

the higher in number u go, the more brilliant the color but the less visibility. but ur fine up to like 10- or 12 with the projector housings.... i want some 3k fog lights

i love my 4300 retrofit kit... it makes them nice and white, and clear! the light output is awesome! i would go w/ the 8k if you want a slight tint of blue but not over the top

4300K is really the best output for HIDs you can get. Has a slight blue tint to it as well. As you go further up the line you go through the dark blues and eventually into purple.

10k sucks in the rain
my first set of HID's were 8k, and they look nice and bluish white
my next set will be 5k, i want more of a pure white

having colored headlights is a phase, you'll grow out of it and realize there is a safety issue involved eventually like i did

I don't get how you guys see these colors with the different lights ...

I have 6k and they definitely aren't even close to white. They are a dark purple ... and yes, they are HID's
