HID Kits

Has anyone bought the ebay HID kits? The reason I ask is because I got a burnt out headlight bulb so I was thinking about going right to HIDS.

Heres the two cheapest ones..

they look like a good deal...

I almost bought a set off of there, but my brother (oldsskool) brought up a good point. the ones that were on the group buy for $200 US come with a relay.

I believe that the relay helps prevent power surges? Can anyone confirm this?

What color temp you thinking of going? I like 6K or 8K.. havent decided yet

Hopefully someone will chime in here and help up out a little. I know some people on here have HID's without retrofitting projectors on here.

They make complete units that have the HID's already installed, Its a lot more money, I think 300.00 but I was told thats the best way to go instaed of retroing the stock lamps.

HIDs in stock halogen reflector housings =
blinding the **** out of everyone, + tickets.

Please read up on HID lighting, how its propagated, how it needs to be controlled.....
you will soon see that cheap, ebay HID kits, put into stock vehicle headlights, are a big no no, if you care about your fellow driver.
HID lights need to be controlled and focuses through a lense, or a highly engineered reflector, to avoid blasting high intensity light directly into oncoming traffics eyes.
currently the cheapest option is Ebay projectors, they may not be the greatest.....or do a perfect job controlling HID light, but they DO give you a crisp cutoff....and keep the light out of
traffics eyes, and therefore keeps the law away.
