HID colors?
HID colors?
Wanted some insight on HID colors. I drive 2009 yellow SS sedan, I was thinking thas for my fogs i would go with a yellow for show but my headlights would be Bright mayb 8k want them white with a lil bluish hue to them what do y'all think?
Yes 3k is the fogs. It would be the most functional set up too as the yellow cuts through fog the best. And 6k is white with a bit of blue. I wish I had a pic of mine to show you. I went 6k/6k and love it.
And as far as looks I think it would look good, and function awesome.

Technically 4300K is the main OEM color temp. I use 5000K and they're pretty much as white as it gets, with 6000K starting to have a blue tint and 8000K is more blue than white. Of course if you buy cheap kits the colors will probably be off a bit.
i had 8k in my stock housings when i vought the car and man i always got the high beam from other people haha. i took them out when one ballist went bad, but im gonna order some new ones shortly.
id say go 5k fogs, and 6k headlights
or 4.3k. 4.3 still looks a lil dull then 5k.
3k imo is what hondas put on there car...
3k might not look bad, but i would never, its tooo rice. got ruined by all the hondas.....
every now and again i see a nice lexus, or bmw with yellow fogs, and im like damn... those are sexy as ****.
its up to you dude...... hopefully you can rock it!
Here is a comparison of Halogen vs 6K in my 3rd gen's. Hope this helps. Pics are in my garage cuz it's freaking cold out in MI right now. I personally like the 6k as they are bright and almost like the sky when the sun is out.
