I have alot of experience with large HID lighting (back when I was doing electrical, wiring up warehouses for a while), and those suckers can get pretty hot, especially high up in the rafters...
...if the bulbs got over 200* I would be worried about the light housing coming apart...thanks for the help.
The bulbs are designed with temperature regulation, so they will not get much hotter than a halogen bulb.

That said, it is perfectly fine to retrofit our kits to a light assembly with projectors.

Thank you in advance

To avoid having those who have paid wait, we are dispatching the orders 24-48 hours after receiving payment.

Shipping time is 3-5 business days from that point.

Thank you again

I want to know more about the ballast hook up (how do you install?direct from battery w/ inline fuse or from fuse box), will these operate off the factory light switch? and w/ the auto lights feature?, and the power consumption..... do these put a heavy drain on the battery/alternator?

I had some kick butt HELLAS years back on my M6 and was promised from the salesman there wouldn't be any problem.... I blew fuses left and right and could only use the high beams for 30 second bursts.... just to explain my concern!

thank you...
Sorry for the delay, we actually missed this posting.

For installation details, please refer to our install guide at: http://www.visionbulbs.com/vb_installg.php

We include both the relay and the standard connectors.

With the standard connectors, you simply need to hook up the ballasts to the headlight connectors, and then the bulbs to the ballasts.

We recommend using the relay, which you can see in detail in the above mentioned guide.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you again

In the installation it has instructions for connecting to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. In the Cobalt SS/SC the battery is in the rear of the car. Do I need to run to it or to the positive battery terminal in the front of the car. And if that will work where should I route the negative connection to?

Also are the 9007 kits the same as the bi/xenon kits?

Thank you all for the kind words

If anyone has taken pics, please post them. We would love to see them, and even post them on our site for other Cobalt owners to see!

ECo did you remember to connect the errrmmm.. switch part to the single router piece and tape up/shrinkwrap the other so it will not get water in it? Curious minds want to know.

Also I noticed multiple grounds but only one positive terminal connection. Interesting.

In the cabling it is all sheathed and that is nice. But I am curious is the hot the one with the red wire under the sheath?

You installed these. Did you do the install on a standard headlight set. And what year is your Balt. It seems one of us is having a problem. His erm... piece that holds the headlights in is black. If looking at this is the same as mine mine are blue. Are yours black or blue?

Do you have any other details?

I hooked up everything exactly as it said in the instructions. Power from the Underhood distribution block, grounds to the body on each side, box mounted on the backside of the support near the ABS module, bulb connector plugged into the driver's side lamp socket, ballasts behind each of the headlamps, and all wires connected correctly. Tried swapping it around to use the passenger side lamp socket, still nothing. ITS NOT WORKING!!! I've gone over everything well over 6 times... I'm about to send it back... I keep getting told to use the instructions to install it... I DID THAT!!! I'm a Saturn tech, I'm not an idiot, my regular headlights work just fine, I am beginning to wonder if they even know how their own product works.

are you using the direct connection to stock wiring or relays?

if relays are you using the right connectors to signal the relay?

There are no "relays", but there is a control box. There are no connections I could get mixed up, the only one I "could" have mixed up was which headlamp socket I used, but I tried both...
