now. there isn't a way to wire this in backwards. which is what is fuckered up.
What headlights (1st gen projectors, etc) are you installing these in?

Nevermind - you just answered it in the above post.

The wiring is way wrong out of the box - or you need to switch the bulbs :P

do both bulbs look the same and do you have 4 ballasts(boxes)

because this sounds like a ballast issue

It has to be a problem with wiring (likely a harness problem, not something you did)... The harness is kicking on the halogen bulb segment with the low beam whenever in this setup it should be the high beam (only used for signaling - halogen bulb, not very bright). Then when high beams are turned on from the stalk, the xenon (HID) bulb is ignited. This is back asswards... The voltage in the low beam lead should tell the ignitor to fire up the HID bulbs... In your situation, the lead is backwards making the halogen light, and not the other. It sounds like a faulty harness. You might want to try crossing the leads for high and low in that plug and play harness.

Alternatively, and the PROPER way to do it would be to use a relay harness... That way your not putting 50,000+ volts through you factory wiring for the ballasts. The relay harness hooks to your battery post and the ballasts and the factory headlight clip goes into it to tell the ballasts when to ignite.

I actually have a 6000K eBay kit that I paid $66.00 shipped that I'm sure is far superior to many rival kits costing $100+. I am also using one of 3B Specialties relay harnesses for my application and it works great. Get one of those if you don't already have one ($15 bucks). And last but not least, you know you shoulda gotten some projectors as HIDs in reflector housing is a no-no. But I'm JK I'm sure you alread knew that one. Anyways good luck!

both bulbs look the same. the ballast is the 50w jobbie. i just put them in like any normal person would out of the box right ballast goes with right bulb, left ballast goes with left bulb. unless they were put in the box wrong from the get go and i put them in not knowing this and it came out with this ****-tastic outcome.

could be a possibility?

I don't believe that the ballasts are directional, AKA no left and right ballasts... It depends on what it is wired too... Like I said it has to do with what wire goes where for the low and high beams. These wires appear to be crossed in your harness. That would make the improper light come on at the improper time.

according to thier site you should have 4 ballasts,(which would be the right way to ignite 4 different bulbs) because you would need one per bulb. Switch the wires and see if the low goes on full power when you put it on the ballast. Something fishy is going on and that is why i would not recommend this company. I have been working with the HID kits for a while now and there are only a few places we go for them.

Try switching wires on one side and see if the low ignites properly then switch to hi beams, if the hi does what the low was doing, your missing 2 ballasts

definitely use that relay harness when you have time, if you decide to keep them

NO! He has the Single Beam HID kit. Not the Bi-Xenon. The single beam kit for 9007 has both a low and a high beam on one bulb pedestal... It has a HID xenon bulb for the LOW beam. It has a halogen-shitty-not-bright-lame-light-used-for-signaling-people-by-flashing-your-highs-kept-there-only-to-keep-it-legal-and-have-flashers for the HIGH beam... The Bi-Xenon kit is actually 2 HID xenon bulbs and would have 4 ballasts, one for each bulb. He DOES NOT have this kit... It really isn't needed? The lows are more than plenty...

There is apparently a wiring problem as the HIGH beam factory signal is telling the ballasts to ignite the HID bulbs instead of when the low beams are on...

Ok that is what Im trying to gether.

Then yes its a wiring screw up. Thats the only thing that is wrong. It is possibly the ballasts are bad but, Im going with a wiring screw up.

Basically cross you low and high beam signal wires and everythign will be fixed

when i say cross i mean switch

x2 - the ballast draws a LOT of current through the stock wiring.

there is only 2 hid bulbs in there as it is. the other one resembles a 194 peanut bulb. so only two ballasts are needed.

this is the kit

right, i understand you got the single beam converison, thats what i was trying to gather from you.

Its a wiring issue, like we said switch the high and low signal wires and it should work properly.

the harness is fux0r3d.

sounds like the hi/lo beam wires are flip flopped. i would just cut, swap and splice the wires if you want to keep it.

The link you posted says they are single xenon so do what they said.

If you want bi-xenon HIDs I suggest THESE Ive owned the 9007 bi-xenon kit and several others he offers and have never once had an issue.

Hope that helps out if you got any other questions ask away Ive done enough with HIDs recently to write a book

yeah that wont change things. Definitely just snip the two signal wires on the harness and switch em. Should work perfect then

Haha, well hopefully the wiring problem will get sorted out... That is all it sounds like to me. You might be able to just look at where the 9007 plug is on the wiring harness they supplied and pull out the wires for highs and lows and switch them in the plug. That way you won't have to cut and splice them.

But better yet! If you have the relay harness, you should be able to just install that and fix your problem. Unless of course the relay harness is backwards to... Then you have a real problem... But yea just try the relay harness it should work fine because it hooks to the battery and the ballasts together through a relay that is switched via a signal from one factory 9007 plug as to whether to turn on the highs or lows. That should do the trick.

And sorry for being testy before trying to give a response. I was just irritated that I knew what was going on, but not how to get people to understand it.

As for 3B Specialties, they seem like a decent vendor. They were a little slow to respond to my questions to. I posted a question on their website and it got lost... I had to PM them on here and wait a few days, but I did eventually get a good answer to my question. You may want to contact them for a harness replacement at some point...
