HID Help
I searched but couldn't find anything relivant! I'm looking into buying an HID kit, so I was wondering if I need to get a relay kit or can I do without it? I have an 09 balt. Will it affect the DRL or what...?
First step in the HID install is to pull the DRL so it doest cause problems
Relay harnesses are not need but are Highly Recommended to protect your factoryy wiring and the bulbs/ballasts

Oh and still havent pulled the DRL fuse. I have a habit of just flicking the switch to off when driving in the day so the bulbs dont ignite at all when I start the car... to me Id rather just keep the fuse and actually lift my hand and use it instead of being lazy and not having DRLs all the time. I like it when at night I drop the ebrake and my lights kick on.

I start my car in underground parking where it's relatively dark. I take it that I can't start the car without the lights comming on at first ? I turn mine off after start up (no HIDS yet). I take it there's no way to prevent this without pulling the DRL fuse?

SO........correct me if I'm wrong....
I don't think you have a choice on having em turn on when it's dark...e brake has nothing to do with it.

Using your own relays isn't that big of an issue. You can get them at radioshack pretty cheaply and you only need one. As far as whose HID kit it is, it doesn't really make that much of a difference unless you're going between analog and digital ballasts. They're all pretty much the same kit. If you need help on wiring your own relays, just ask.
