HID help please.

I have done research and still cant find what i need to know. I have 1st Gens and i want to buy a hid kit but i dont quite understand the bulb type stuff, i know i want 8k+ but im not sure which kind i need for the first gens.

anyone know what the difference is between the wattage? 35-55? which should i go with?

I've run both 35 and 55, besides the fact that the 55's have more power to consume to turn on (so they do turn on a bit faster), not a whole lot of difference. A little brighter maybe, but not alot.

I have 55W 9006 with the wiring harness at 5000k. The lumen difference is actually profound between 35W and 55W. I did a single xenon retrofit and by doing that, I don't have brights but I have yet to find a road where I need them. I got flashed yesterday (Even though my projectors are aimed too low) by an SUV driving past me. and Ill leave it at that.

I had a 35W kit @ 6000k before.

you need to not use over 6000k bulbs is what you need
