i bought 2 $10 dollar ballast from ebay brand new and a pair of green hid bulbs lifetime warranty for $16 dollars. everything was free shipping and it looks way better than halogen. for the extra 10, 15 bucks over halogen wouldnt u rather have hid. u should also get a relay as well so add another 8 dollars but u dont have to.

Sweet thanks guys.

I have gen 2's now, and I was told that my old 10k hid kit wouldnt work in them so I sold them along with my fog kit. But I really want em now.

Will that hid kit work in the gen 2's?

From my understanding.. any HiD kit will work with any lights... the only difference is the bulb size

this is right. the ballasts are all the same. its the socket in the light housing that changes so u need to make sure your geting the right bulbs.

in my opinion the slim ballasts are not as good as the regular sized ones. unless u spend good money on a good name brand kit. then the slims would be better.

Look around for H11 LED bulbs. I know I've seen some around.
