HID Kits help

I am ready to make an order for HID conversion kit but had a few questions, what Kelvin Temperature should I go with? Also the fog lights are H11's so could I get a kit for them too?

You can get a HID kit for the H11's no problem.

What temp you get is up to you. 4200-5200 is more white, then above that you start to get more blue ish. Once you get above 7000ish you will start to get a purple color. 4200 has the best light output meaning it will light the road up the best. The higher you go the less effective the output is.

Good luck!

i have 10k lows (these are blue, but border the purple area...im sure 12k would be blue/purple)
and 6k highs (these are white...if im using brights, then i need the best output possible)
the 10ks are still MUCH better than halogen bulbs, and the 6ks are slightly better than that.

If you don't have projectors to put HIDs in, don't get the HIDs, because you'll blind the crap out of everyone else, and most HID kits are only SINGLE BEAM. (ie: stock headlight bulb is dual beam, single bulb.) If you put a HID kit that just is single beam in a stock housing, your highbeam is now gone.

And you don't need HIDs in your fog lights, unless they are just for show, because fog lights arn't supposed to be bright. (Hence why you don't drive around with the highs on in the fog.) Another point, many H11 HID kits are also too long for our fog light assembly, though a slim ballast HID may fit...

Here's a dusk photo of my car with Onex's 6000K HID kit, in projectors. If thats any help.

4300 is the best lighting output by the books... but is the boring yellow/white of a halogen
6k has IMO equal lighting performance as 4300, but a much nicer ultrawhite color
8k is my favorite color wise, beautiful blue, slightly less lighting than 6k
10k is a little to purpleish for my taste, and the lighting is barely better than a good halogen

how do I know? i have them all

I had to take mine out of the stock housings because the PO PO didn't like it too much...but go with 8k for the best balance between blue-ness and light output...but stay away from anything higher than that, and try not to put them in the stock housings...

ebay projectors use H1 bulbs. not 9007

and HIDs in the highbeams would be a waste IMO.
the highbeam on the ebay projectors are insanely good even with the **** bulb they come with.

save yourself the cash and just get the H1 HID for the lowbeam, and a nice set of bulbs for the highs (also H1)

Two sets of H1s

Try not to go with high beam HID because flashing HIDs are bad for them and you tend to flash your high beams(to signal people and so forth)

Yes, but if the housing has two bulbs, then you now have a seperate low and high beams. An HID low and halogen high. All the housing does, is split the beam back into two. (or one, depends what housing you have)

Haha, my bad. They don't exist. Just slim ballast HIDs. I'll fix that.
Here's another post with slim ballasts, and a colour chart in it too.
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...light=slim+hid

And i just noticed, that ebay site, does have high/low halogen/HID bulbs. And high/low HID bulbs. So the dual beam hids should work, but please, for the love of cars, get projectors!
