HID Lense Peeling

I puchased a set of first gen HID Projectors last year, and Im noticing that the clearcoat on the lense is peeling, has anyone else had this problem with their lights and if so how can I stop it from spreading.

I know that cleaning and waxing them regularly will help prevent the problem in the first place, but to fix it you will have to sand down and reclear them.
