HID nub question

I've looked through all the HID sticky threads and browsed various vendors, but I am still confused on one thing..

When I order an HID projector (as in, the light housing, I don't have the time or skill for a retrofit) do I need to order an HID conversion kit too, since the stock wires won't handle the halo lights? I would think the HID conversion kit would either come with the projector, or be linked to the page so people who buy one can easily buy the other. But I'm stumped.

Your question doesn't make sense... but anyway, you don't need time nor skill to own retrofits. What you do is - buy headlights that are already retrofitted.

to answer your question, you will probably need to order an HID kit yes. unless it comes with one... but it probably wont. the hid kits comes with the bulbs and ballasts

Uh.. hmm. Lemme use better terminology.

The lights in here, HALO lights; I thought you needed to use special resistors/wiring due to increased power draw?

In other words, once I buy headlights that are already retrofitted, don't I need to wire them a certain way, rather than just plugging them into the old headlights? For example, these: 05-07 Chevrolet Cobalt Halo Projector Head Lights LED Black : Spec-D

So I take it I will have to order a projector, and then a separate HID conversion kit? Are most compatible with each other, provided I just keep the 9007 bulb in mind?

Halos draw pretty much zero power compared to the headlights. I don't know why you keep talking about the halos. Most of the headlights are plug and play.

no... the 9007 bulb is only for stock headlights. If you get a projector headlight some of them take different bulbs, read up on it and see what it takes, then go to BUYHIDS.COM HID Lights HID Kits Xenon Headlights Kit HID Headlight Kits HID Conversion Light to order your hid kit I have my hid kit in some stock headlights with the housing painted white
