HID's

Hey guys, I am about to finalize my order at buyhids.com and just had a quick question. I used the search button to try and find a similar post and even look in the 'HID crash course' post and didn't get a definate answer. BUT is it necessary to run a relay if i am only getting 6000k HID's with a 35w ballast???? Any answer is great just please say why or why not

yes get the relay. saves you stock wiring from getting hot and melting/burning up. its well worth the 10/15 bucks.

Yes, just do it. It's only like $15. Save's you a LOT of headaches down the road. Lots will tell you they have them and haven't had any problems, but they just haven't ran them long enough. Will they work without them, yes. How long will they last without a harness? That's simply a matter of luck.

as for your other question personally I would run 5000k because they are brighter and will be the same white as your car.

Been running mine for years without a relay and until somebody can show me mathematical proof that the current will exceed the wires capability, I'm not going to run excess wiring.

Hell I've been running 100W high beams on stock wiring for years too haha.

I'm at the upper limits of the wiring, but I'm not over them by any means.

Do we need a relay harness for the fogs as well?

I do, they need the same amount of power as the headlights, so if you're running them for your headlights, why wouldn't you for the fogs?

The wiring is good to 16amps...

100W high beams draw less than 10amps...

Mathematical based logic > You

If you're buying a bi-xenon kit, yes. That's what they're site says.
