I hope you aren't putting these into a stock housing. Because then the brightest would be the stock bulbs. Disagree all you want, you do nothing but blind oncoming traffic with the plug and play kits. To each their own though.

I have a buyhids retro kit and I would like for them to be brighter(5k 35w).
Also, don't get 55watt ballasts, they burn the bulbs out quicker and the output isn't that much greater.

This is simply my opinion

I have 3rd gens you can see in my sig... ohh and I somehow got the wrong bulbs on accident so tomorrow I'm shipping them back and then getting the right ones in the mail sometime soon hopefully. Fog lights are in a sexy. Pics will be up when I get my H1 bulbs

I dont like the 55w, im too nervous to run them with our tiny headlight wiring that we have. 35w is just fine!

wattage isnt the problem. the problem is the extra amperage the HID draws, the halogens are 55watts. 55 watts is 55watts, HID kit or not. i installed two 55w kits in my gen 3 projectors a few nights ago. they run perfect and there bright as hell. right now im running them with no relay harnesses. im in the process of buying two harnesses so i can wire a relay to run both kits to run with high beams on.
