HIDs in factory driving lights

im finding the stock headlights leave a little to be desired, and am considering an HID kit. now i know HIDs in stock reflector headlight housings it very anoying for other drivers, aswell as you never get the light aimed perfectly. i would upgrade to projector headlights, but i just dont like the look of any i have seen for our cars, i find the one i have seen make the car look ricey IMHO.

that being said, im thinking of putting HIDs into the factory driving lights. i dont think it would be as glaring as a headlight housing would be due to the smaller size of the driving light housing.

anyone done this??? any thoughts, comments or opinions???

hmm that would be interesting to switch it so you put projectors in the DRL spot and put the DRL in theheadlight spot .. i kinda thought about that on the ion bu i think it would look weird on the ion it would look good in on the balt though

I'm planning on doing HID fogs.

That would solve the problem, and also they wouldn't be on with the DRL.

yup H11 is correct.

Im not familiar with our fogs as far as HIDs, but i would suggest checking into it a little deeper before diving in.

the reason being, yes they are projectors, but they are halogen projectors.

what does this mean? not alot, they dont do as good a job as a true HID projector, but they will do ok.

but the one thing you need to be concerned about is the fitament.
Halogen projectors generally have a shorter focal length, and hence not as much room from the base of the bulb, to the lens.
It is a possibility that a standard HID length bulb might be a bit to long for the housing.

that being said, i HAVE seen multiple people do it and make it work.
but its just always to cover your bases and research things

try these bulbs replacement bulbs without having to go hid.

Eurolite Xenon Fusion, size H11 for the foglights

MrRumble has them in his car and they look sick!
