Question High Beam/Fog Light Question..

I recently got a set of projector headlights with the HID kit, I have seen how to make all 4 lights come on with the high beams.. My question is, is there a way to wire it so the fog lights stay on when I hit the high beams?

The more light, the better, safer.. Plus I more prefer the fog lights... I would just like them to stay on all the time, whether in high or low beams..

Safer?! **** that, it's illegal, actually... it'll take 5 seconds to learn how to do it if you Google it. But I have to drive 10 miles on the highway to work and back and it's people like you with high beams, low beams AND fogs on a perfectly clear night that blind the **** out of me. So... the less of you on the road the better. Get decent low beams and you won't have a problem.

Um, the whole "more light" excuse is a moot point. You're killing your night vision which can reduce your long range visibility at night, so you may not see things until it's too late.

I saw that post, I have not found anything that will keep the fog lights on when I go from low beams to high beams... Or, if the fog lights are wired directly to the low beams it should power the fog lights with this mod.. I'm not fully sure how the fog lights are powered, or what wire from the fog lights get connected where..

I'm not sure what the problem is, seeing as neither the low beam nor the fog lights on these cars are aimed directly at you if they're installed correctly.

I'm not sure why you're worried about the physical area of the car that is producing light and not even affecting you, I'd be more worried about the guy that's running his low beams super high so he doesn't have to out drive his lights doing 60mph on the highway; But hey to each his own.

While we're on light that's more distracting than actually blinding, you should start a petition that doesn't allow side markers on semi trailers or something.

well that mod keeps, highs, lows and fogs all on at the same time when flipped I believe

I have decent head lights, highs and lows, and fogs for that matter.. I only use my highs on the back roads when no one is able to be bothered by them, it's nice to be able to see the entire road up close to the side and far off at the same time, instead of having to hold the switch to do it.. So thanks for comparing me to the bunch of other idiots that do that with no concern of how it affects people, I understand the effects, as well as when to and not to use them, which is why I have not seen in any article saying that it's illegal, nor has anyone said why it's illegal.. Because some people don't know when not to use them?

I take the time to adjust my lights, correctly, as so they are not blinding or bothersome to other drivers and I still get the most visibility of the road.. I drive back roads quite a bit, and when no one is out there, yeah I'll speed some and turn on the highs, still as soon as I see headlights coming around a corner or in the distance I flip my highs off, that simple..

It's just for the highs turning on the lows as well.. There was a few more posts since last time I looked at it and they do state a way to wire in the fog lights to the tail lights..

Thanks for the reply's and help..

i know what he means, WHEN you in fact turn your high beams on it leaves your fog lights on as well. This is no different than having your low beams with your fogs, just having more light. Any idiot that knows to turn down their highs when on coming cars are coming will not blind any other driver. Fog lights will never blind anyone so what does it matter if they stay on while the highs are on? They did from the factory on my f-150...

next, the way to do it is to look for a kit or find the relay for the fog lights /high beams. I have had problems finding this as well...

There are actually TONS of kits out there for silverados and tahoes to keep the low beams on once the high beams are on which increases visibility. I assume it is the same concept, just need someone (who knows what they're doing) to experiment and find a solution.

@ all those haters who hate when people blind them at night:
its not any mod that causes it, only idiots who aim their lights too high or don't know how to turn off their high beams...

I had found a company that makes a module to correct the highbeam and fogs issue. it would be a more expensive option than using a relay. check out the post in a previous thread:
