SRI = Great for colder times of the year as the ambient air is generally cold enough to not worry about sucking salt and water into your engine with

CAI = Great for summer / warmer times of the year. Although I've seen someone argue that the sun-baked concrete is only slight cooler than your engine and the air that rises off the concrete / asphalt is just a little bit cooler than the ambient air in your engine bay.

Hood scoops have many different practical functions and all of them are pretty much cooling. When I do splurg on a CF Hood with scoop, I'm going to fab some channelled ducts to direct that cool air to the front brakes to avoid any overheating synonomous with auto cross or track racing. The other thing its great for is keeping your charge pipe cool from the engine. Most people just run an aluminum charge pipe (Metal conducts heat instead of insulates against it) so if you don't want to heat wrap your charge pipe or Cold Air Intake charge pipe to protect it from the engine heat, then a hood scoop will definately help!

I remember reading a post an ss/na I think using a scoop over a GMPP intake (or K&N) SRI and gained something like 12 whp with the scoop offset over the actual filter. Aesthetics aside, that's pretty decent I'd say

Shame, I can't be bothered to look up the post though... maybe someone else will

double for sure... more ice cream

My thought would be 1 scoop if you are going to offset it on the hood to direct the air towards the passenger side where the SRI sits on 2.2's
