How to fix bumper gap?

Is there a how to on fixing bumper gap? I went through every page of threads and couldnt find one and all the searches I did have just said "get over it" or something about dremeling brackets that I'm not understanding 100% yet.

The only reason I'm asking is I noticed my driver side gap is real bad... I noticed it while about 100-150ft away...

If anyone has the link to a good thread with a fix, awesome. If they don't, I guess I'll either figure something out or get over it.

Oh and EDIT: Would GM have to mess with the front bumper or headlights to change the power steering motor? I just had that done today...

You can kind of sort of adjust the way the headlights and their brackets attach to the car. You might be able to make it a little bit better.

Cover over the gap with duct tape and you won't see it

I figured most cobalts had the problem, I just also thought that someone had come up with a great way to fix it.

I'll search g5club.net for one and then move on and try to forget about it if I cant figure out how to fix it myself

If you can't do it from underneath, remove the headlights. Should be able to reach that area from there.

I would just leave it. Usually the headlight problem looks worse when you try to make it look better.

the official GM bulletin of fixing the gap is to remove the bumper and elongate the bumper support mounting holes to allow for some finer movement in them, i haven't done this yet as its not exactly a high priority for me at the moment.

The more I look at it the more I think its just the drivers side headlight that is off... I might try adjusting the bracket on that when I can get the time to take it out and dremel some stuff

1st-It's a Chevy

2nd-It's a Cobalt

3rd-Get over it

I'm jk, I think everybody that has a cobalt has to deal with this problem, the only way that I know to fix it is mess with the headlight bracket

no the headlights are fine, you can get it fairly close but not perfect (and perfection isn't really gonna work). keep in mind that the bumpers are notorious for warping for what ever reason right under the headlights. its also possible that your headlight just isn't in the brackets properly causing it to sit higher.
