How to Make Hurst STS look good!!!!

Well we all know the Hurst is far superior to the TMW when it comes to looks Lets be Honest its not the best looking nor does the color really match anything in the interior but yet somehow matches a stock SS/SC Gunmetal rim pretty good. Now I'm not hating on it to much because I really enjoy my Hurst in feel and looks, but there is just something about the look of the TMW that makes it look so clean.

I purchased a Hurst STS off here for a such a good price it was hard to pass it up. When I received it, it look as tho it had better days and was nicked up and scratched. As I proceeded to take the knob off, I found it to have been cross threaded on and it wasn't budging. So I got mad and well grabbed a monkey wrench and torqued her right off. Needless to say its looked like rabid dog chewed on it for a couple days when I was done. So finally the other day I decided to head down to family friend who owns his own bump shop and went to town on her. With his help we Sand Blasted the crap out of it, then applied some body filler. Sanded it down and primed it, blocked it then primed it again. I took it home at hit it with some satin black wheel paint for durability. After a nice wet sand and one last buff and polish she came out looking exactly how I wanted it to. So enough of the story here are some pictures let me know what everyone thinks.

Personally I love the clean and simple look to it. It still isn't a TMW but makes it much more enjoyable for now. Its a good temporary till I have money for a TMW.

And yes I know the Shift boot is up to high on the shaft. Iv had it both ways and this is my personal preference on looks. The lockout is still easy to use and get too.
