How much for stripes?
I want to get some black stripes painted on my car. I want them to run from the bottom of the front bumper to the bottom of the back one. Anyone got an idea on how much i can expect to pay for some paint work like that?

you need to reclear the entire panel that your painted graphic is on. id say no less than...
you realize that is everything but the doors, 1/4's,fenders?........3k?
hard edge painting of them wont look as good, and the edges generally tend to flake off over time, that im sure you an find for under 1k. if your gonna go paint, g all out and hire an artist to paint the racing stripes burning ito nothing or some other wld effect only achieved by paint. set your cooki cutter apart from the croud, downside is theres no going back cto stock easily. decals are fast, easy, less costly, and reversible.
nothing beats a nice paint job tho...

I wasn't sure about stripes on my car, but saw a pic someone put up the other day of a red one with nice stripes on it and i just liked the look. Everyone has their own tastes, we all see some of the things people do to there cars on this site, some like it and others dont. I think as long as your happy with the way your car looks then thats all that matters

Hey, I think it looks hot. I'm curious as to how much it would cost paint-wise.
I wouldn't do it tho, mostly cuz I don't have an SS. Maybe when I get turbocharged...

what a douchebag you are. do you actually think he wants stripes to make his car faster? it is not your car and just because you dont like stripes doesnt mean he shouldnt put them on his car.

i don't want to be an ass but why do you put an SS badge on your front grill? it doesn't make your car any faster. neither will doing 92mph on a 40mph zone. sorry, i'm not a big fan of SS badges on the front grill and of doing well over double of the posted speed limit.

i have painted stripes on many-a-cars. for painted stripes i charge around 700 to 1000. just cause of the time it takes.. now for a complete custom airbrushed job. prices start at 10,000 up to 20,000. jobs like that can take more than 2 weeks.. it all depends how much you want to spend. vinyl is the easiest way to go..
