How to remove oil stain from the top of my engine?

Yeah, so I'm a ******* and tried to put some oil in the egine without my funnel. That didnt last very long because I spilled a bit and didnt try again till I ran my lazy ass up the stairs to get the funnel out of my toolbox.

Anyways, now I notice this shadow kind of stain on top of my engine where I spilled the oil. I wiped it all away with a towel, or so I thought. Whats the best way to get rid of this? Just some mild soap and water with a brush? (its an LSJ if that makes any difference)
