So I was looking at some ideas for LED taillights what would you guys think of the hurley symbol being done in led rings in the taillight housing?

I personally think it's stupid to put logos of clothes on your car. Doubt they'd sponsor it.

But hey, it's your car.

IMO, don't do it.

I do in fact live on the water I'm right by galveston,tx. I used to do alot of wakeboarding and surfing when I was younger now I don't really have the time to do it. It was just a random idea looking at LEDs at work for a project I'm doing for a buddy of mine. Saw those and was just wondering what people thought of it.

i agree with the above posts. why do people put monster, hurley, entity, fox racing, DC stickers on their car? every kid driving a ricemobile has them on their car. like anyone is dumb enough to believe they are sponsored and im not sure what makes putting that on your car cool. go ahead.. add a shocker sticker too while you're at it and join the millions of people who are trying to make their car unique and fail.

Adding brand logos is tacky as hell. Especially a clothing company. I bet you have a DC Ken Block sweater too.

I believe I'd be talking on behalf of most here, the point is, stickers, LED lights, vinyls of companies - unless sponsored by actual company or representing parts installed on the car - are tacky in the opinion of the majority here.

you asked for the opinion - you got it. take it or leave it. in the end, it IS your car, and YOU are the one who will be seen in it, look at it in your driveway, drive it... so it's ultimately up to you.

Honestly the guy was just asking a question. He didn't say he was going to do it. No need for people to get all butthurt and start bashing

kdub, nobody is getting butthurt.

it looks like in the OP (quoted below), he did consider doing it if I understood that correctly:

So we just gave our opinions. nothing more, nothing less (well, maybe little sarcasm from some people).

Friendly discussion, that's all.

He ran his idea by CSS people, most said it doesn't sound good. That is all.

my friend ben has the dc symbol and 'famous' symbol TATOO'ed on his arms. no, he's not travis barker.

he's gonna regret getting those when he's forty and those random clothing brand lines mean nothing to him

it's no big deal just wanted opinions. Don't plan on doing it just wanted to know the majority's thoughts on the matter.
